Candidate for Mudgeeraba
I’m a Gold Coast local and love all that our region has to offer. As an engineer who has worked on projects in Port Kembla, Brisbane and South Africa, and volunteered locally with my church, the Gold Coast Council Numeracy and Literacy Program and the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, I feel I’m best placed to represent Mudgeeraba in our State parliament.
The Gold Coast is at a critical point: a rapidly growing population, new infrastructure and job opportunities present our region with a number of challenges. Successive Queensland governments have accepted significant political donations. Political parties cannot act in the public interest when they accept millions of dollars in donations from mining companies, property developers and gambling companies.
I’m running for the Greens because I know the party will put people before profit, and will strive for policies that stand for a better society for everyone. As your Greens representative, I will support opportunities for businesses to develop and operate new industries, support the installation of solar-electric systems to stabilise the local power supply, and support the building and construction sector to provide a stable and sustainable future.
I’m honoured to stand as the Greens candidate for Mudgeeraba this State election.
