LYONS CANDIDATE LAUNCHED
The Tasmanian Greens today launched their candidate for the Federal Seat of Lyons, Karen Cassidy.
The launch, held at the Campbell Town Show, marked the official start of the Tasmanian Greens Federal Election Campaign in the seat of Lyons.
Ms Cassidy, a long-term member of the Lyons community and an experienced campaigner, launched her official campaign, saying “I believe that voters in this diverse electorate are tired of the same old major party blustering and bluffing. Lyons is ready to bring fresh and much-needed change into the House of Representative. That change is Green.”
Ms Cassidy has a strong background in politics and small business management and is a passionate activist for the needs and future of Lyons and its distinct communities.
“Over a million people voted Green at the last Federal Election. Those one million people know that who you vote for matters! We will certainly see those one million people joined by many more at this election.”
