All people have equal rights, regardless of their ethinicity, culture, language, gender or place of birth.
The Greens stand up for these rights, and will continue to ensure the benefits of multiculturalism are recognised within Parliament and our community.
Our multiculturalism is something to be proud of and to celebrate. It is vital we make sure that our governments, schools, workplaces and services are well placed to empower and support culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) communities.
WA is a vast state and we need to ensure that multicultural services are able to be accessed regardless of where people live. Many CaLD people and communities reside in rural and remote areas of Western Australia; we need to ensure that planning and delivery of services incorporates and meets the needs of all Western Australians.
WA is home to people from more than 1901 countries; we are fortunate that such rich and unique communities have contributed immeasurably to our country. Sadly, the recent rise of the right-wing has led to new and emerging communities coming under attack.
The Greens reject these close-minded, racist ideologies. We are proud to stand up for the rights of all people — regardless of culture, ethnicity, religion, language, gender, place of birth or citizenship status — to participate equally in our social, economic and cultural life.
