The Victorian and federal governments appear to have quietly extended the East Gippsland Regional Forest Agreement, prompting the Greens to call for the failed logging laws to be scrapped.

Statement by Samantha Dunn MP, Victorian Greens Spokesperson for Public Transport

The Victorian Greens support the call by the Rail Tram and Bus Union to return trains and trams to public hands.

Greens spokesperson for Forests, Samantha Dunn MP, said the State Government must not expand native forest logging as part of a deal to keep the Heyfield hardwood timber mill operating.

Victorian Greens Justice spokesperson, Sue Pennicuik, expressed her deepest sympathies to the victims and families of those affected by the terrible events that occurred in Bourke St last Friday.

THE Victorian Greens are making a radical push to decriminalise begging on Melbourne’s streets.

More than 800 people have been charged with begging in the last five years, prompting the Greens to introduce a Bill to repeal what it says are “cruel and unjust” laws.
