TWO NEW POSITIONS
Leader of the Australian Greens - Senator Bob Brown

INTERNATIONAL ADVISER
COMMUNITY LIAISON ADVISER

Applications are invited for the above two positions based in Canberra. These positions play an important role in the development of innovative Greens
policy and communications strategy, involving liaison with national and international stakeholders and key constituent groups.

The International Adviser will undertake international liaison to provide a coordinated approach to Greens policies and initiatives.

The Community Liaison Adviser will interact on behalf of the Greens Senators with key non-government, community, union and business stakeholders.

The successful applicants will be highly motivated individuals with outstanding communications skills, effective judgement and strong analytical and evaluation capabilities.

Applicants should have knowledge and understanding of Greens policy, values and principles and Australian politics.

Knowledge of government and/or non-government and/or business sectors and parliamentary processes would be an advantage.

The positions are offered under the Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984 and conditions are outlined in the Commonwealth Members of Parliament Staff Collective Agreement 2006-2009. These positions will be appointed at either the salary level of Assistant Adviser ($84,214) or Executive Assistant 2 ($74,387) commensurate with skills and experience. The salary packages include a staff allowance in recognition of the overtime hours required plus generous employer-sponsored superannuation.

A probationary period of three months will apply to both new appointments.
