It's just under two weeks to go to the election, and things are buzzing. We've had lots of things on the go, and heaps of great support and feedback. Thanks so much for everything you've helped out with so far. But guess what – there are more opportunities for helping between now and 5 December!
Bicycle Cavalcade Saturday 28 November 10am – 1pm. Be Green Be Seen Have Fun!
Join us for our Bicycle Cavalcade through the streets of Higgins – this coming Saturday from 10am at the Prahran Market. Rod Quantock is joining us so it should be great fun. It would be fantastic if you could join us. Please RSVP to higgins@vic.greens.org.au if you can – and please invite your friends and neighbours and distribute the flier to your networks. It's short notice so we are all needing to get on our bikes to get people along!
$$$$– please can you help us afford an ad in the Stonnington Leader next week?
We have done a huge amount of great work so far on a shoestring, but have just reviewed our campaign budget and found out we need an extra $2500. This will pay for an advertisement in the Stonnington and Progress Leaders next week. We advertised there this week and we would really like to be able to afford to run another ad in the final week. Letterboxing Sat 28 November – Tuesday 1 December
Thanks so much for all the walking the streets of Higgins you've done so far. Just one more lot of literature to get out. This one's a letter which is likely to be the thing which is most read of the three things we've distributed. The Liberals of course can pay to post theres out -we are depending on you. If you can letterbox this weekend, finishing no later than Tuesday 1 December, and you haven't already confirmed that you can, please email Bob Hale on bob750@gmail.com . Stalls, stations, and street walk throughs.
If you can help out with stalls next weekend or railway stations on weekday mornings and haven't yet let us know please email higgins@vic.greens.org.au. Clive would like to round off the next two weeks with lots of walk - throughs of shopping centres. Do you have a couple of hours to spare during week days that you could join him? CPRS rally 1pm Wednesday 25 November State Library
Clive will be speaking at an Emergency rally being called for 1pm on the steps of the State Library, this Wednesday November 25th marching to Lindsay Tanner's office. The rally has been called in the expectation that the CPRS will pass through the senate tomorrow.
Run for a Safe Climate 1.30pm Sunday 29 November St Kilda beach
Clive and the Greens candidate for Melbourne, Adam Bandt, are participating in the final leg of the Run for a Safe Climate that is finishing on St Kilda beach on Sunday. You are invited to take part by forming part of a human sign. See http://www.live.org.au/
