Greens: Fred Nile’s Bradfield survey exposes his bigoted politics

Greens candidate for Bradfield Susie Gemmell has condemned a Fred Nile CDP party Bradfield survey that is being delivered to north shore homes, saying there is no place for Fred Nile’s brand of bigoted hate politics in the Bradfield by-election.

“This ugly style of divisive politics is not welcome on the north shore,” said Ms Gemmell.

“The Liberal candidate Paul Fletcher has given his first four preferences to the Fred Nile CDP candidates. Mr Fletcher should explain to the voters of Bradfield why he is preferencing a party which is distributing leaflets that make repeated negative references to Muslims and immigrants.

"The CDP leaflet is racist and reveals the bigoted ideology behind Fred Nile’s Christian Democratic Party.

“The survey also grossly misrepresents Greens policies.

“This election should be about Australia’s solutions to climate change and how we can create a fairer and more tolerant society.

“Fred Nile has abused the democratic process by fielding 9 candidates in Bradfield, he has already had to apologise for an insulting email campaign, and now he is causing further unrest with this survey.

“Fred Nile has missed the mark.  We have a harmonious community on the north shore, and there is no place for his brand of politics here," said Ms Gemmell.
