Jump starting Electric Cars
Melbourne needs better trains, more bikes and electric cars. My relative invented the ute, and I like to think i am following in his foot steps by launching a new Greens' plan for weaning Melbourne's cars off petrol. We want to jumpstart the drive to electric cars in Australia. This will help us tackle climate change and improve our energy security. You can read about the plan here During our launch I was lucky enough to have a drive of the Blade Electron, a fantastic electric car made by Blade Electric Vehicles based in Castlemaine. The Age has already written a great story on the plan. Next step we will be releasing our plan to fix Melbourne's public transport system.
