About

Dr Emma Young has a PhD in environmental assessment legislation and most recently has worked as a project manager for the Northern Territory Government.

Prior to this Emma has worked through her own consulting business and as a research coordinator and environmental health lecturer in Indigenous higher education. For the past ten years she has worked with a wide range of groups within the community and the public and private sectors. Her previous work includes community development work in remote Indigneous communitites, environmental consulting, provision of education and training services and strategic organisational development.

Emma has been involved in Green campaigns since the early 1990’s, such as the Jabiluka uranium mine and Tarkine campaigns and is undertaking a Bachelor of Laws as a part-time student.
