About
Before becoming Queensland’s first Greens Senator, Larissa Waters worked as an environmental lawyer in the community sector for eight years, helping the community navigate the legal system to protect Queensland’s environment. She was awarded the Law Council’s 2010 Young Environmental Lawyer of the Year.
Larissa grew up in Brisbane and lives in Bardon with her partner, their young daughter and their ageing, cranky dog.
She is passionate about protecting our natural heritage and wildlife, community engagement in government decision-making and fighting for a fair-go for all Australians.
Larissa wants to give the community a voice back in federal Parliament because the major parties only listen to their donors and vested interests.
