About
Luke Petersen returned to Australia in 2005 after 7 years in London building and managing a global telecommunications consultancy, through which he gained in-depth experience of the challenges facing industry and government in strategic infrastructure development.
Luke moved into telecommunications following 9 years with the Royal Australian Air Force as an aerospace engineer. Consulting in IT during the 1990’s, he formed part of a specialist team tasked with establishing the competitive gas market in Victoria.
Now raising his family in the South West, Luke is actively promoting sustainability initiatives across the region with Local Government and the Critical Horizons Committee of the South West Development Commission.
"My vision for the South West is a diverse network of prosperous towns that blend seamlessly with the natural environment. It will take time, strategic thinking and political courage to deliver - our children will benefit from our efforts to make it reality."
