Policies

Kingston is a unique area. From the hills to the coast, north to south we are experiencing the pressures of population growth and climate change.

The Greens in Kingston will:

  • champion a low-carbon economy, public education & first-rate health funding that includes dental and mental health;

  • push for frequent public transport that reaches all areas so we don’t become the stranded south in a peak oil world;

  • protect our primary production land and increase community participation in planning decisions;

  • protect and enhance our vibrant arts, live music and creative culture;

  • reject unfair workplace laws and move towards a green economy.

Change begins with us.
