About
I have watched Canberra grow since 1967. My three sons were born and raised here. I am committed to Canberra’s and Australia’s future. I understand many of the issues that Canberrans’ face. Greens have the policies to address these issues and achieve good outcomes across the range of important social and environmental areas.
My vision for Australia is one that future generations will thank us for, a fairer society that values and cares for the whole of community and the natural world. I believe that the lack of affordable housing is a one of the most pressing social issue of our time. It significantly impacts social and financial equity, now and into the future. We urgently need more energy efficient affordable housing.
I have broad work and life experience. I have a bachelor of Applied Science in health education and a graduate diploma in community counseling. I have operated my own business, worked in the retail sector, hospitality industry, the public service and community sector.
Policies
My vision for Australia is one that future generations will thank us for, a fairer society that values and cares for the whole of community and the natural world.
We need to invest in our community, environment and infrastructure.
Investment in areas such as; energy efficient affordable housing, dental care, public education, public transport, health, protection of native forests and our natural environment and better food labelling is essential for our community. Internationally we need to work towards peaceful resolutions of conflicts and to make real progress on an effective global climate agreement.
The Greens have demonstrated both in the Senate and the Legislative Assembly that we work constructively with other parties, negotiating practical solutions which are responsible and viable both now and into the future. I will bring positive, practical, and trusted leadership to our national parliament – the kind of leadership that Canberra deserves.
