Policies
Wendy believes that Tasmania has great potential and is committed to improving economic, social, and environmental outcomes for the state. As the mother of two sons, Wendy wants to create more job opportunities for our young people. She has an excellent understanding of the needs of small business and how innovation and training programs can be used to improve productivity and business performance.
Wendy is also concerned about the needs of disadvantaged Tasmanians, including pensioners, and is committed to working with the community to improve Government services.
As President of the Philip Smith Centre, Wendy has demonstrated her commitment to preserving Tasmania’s magnificent built heritage. The centre is now a vibrant community facility used by organisations such as U3A (University of the Third Age). Wendy believes that Tasmania’s natural and built heritage are national assets which should be preserved and enhanced for the benefit of all Australians.
