ABOUT DR RICHARD DI NATALE
Dr. Richard Di Natale is poised to become Victoria's first Greens Senator.
Richard is a doctor and public health specialist, who has spent several years working in Indigenous health in the Northern Territory and on HIV prevention in India.
Currently living in the Otway Ranges, Richard, his partner Lucy, and son Luca, are busy re-vegetating their property and establishing an organic farm.
The son of Italian immigrants, Richard speaks Italian fluently and regularly contributes to SBS radio. After 6 years of playing VFA football, Richard is now a long suffering Richmond fan. Go Tigers.
POLICIES
Today, Victorians are demanding a different kind of politics. More people than ever are voting for the Greens. After the election there's a very good chance the Greens will hold the balance of power in the Senate.
With the balance of power in the Senate, the Greens will:
- Ensure we get real action on climate change and water;
- Genuinely reform our health system so that it is prevention focused and meets the needs of local communities;
- Adopt a more compassionate approach to refugees;
- Legalise same-sex marriage; and
- Spend more federal money on public transport.
