Peter Castaldo

Banyule City Council, Griffin Ward

As a Banyule local, I stand for a clean and healthy environment and improved investment in essential public infrastructure.

Growing up in the area, Peter attended Rosanna Primary and Ivanhoe Grammar. He participates in local community and council programs like the Banyule Environment Advisory Committee, the Banyule Integrated Transport Plan, and in Community Gardens and Transition Towns.

With his business background, Peter has an understanding of strategic planning and managing budgets. After building and running a successful company, Peter has now moved his attention to more community-based activities and environmental organisations. Energy efficiency technology is now his main professional focus.

Peter has been a member of The Greens for six years and believes it’s important to be transparent about political backgrounds on council. He hopes to bring both his local and international life and work experiences to help inform the direction that council moves. Most importantly, he aims to listen to the advice and concerns of the residents.

Peter will be a strong voice of integrity for the community.
