Healthy rural and regional communities are essential for our food security, economy and cultural identity. The Greens have a vision for a prosperous regional WA that offers high quality services, and clean, green agricultural products.

Agriculture and looking after our farmers

The long-term sustainability of agriculture is essential for food security, economy and environment. Many threats are facing the sector, including climate change and competition for farm land. Rural Australia faces complex agricultural, environmental and social challenges that the Greens are strongly committed to addressing.

Services in the regions

People living in the regions should have access to quality public health care, education, social services and infrastructure.

We have a costed plan to raise the revenue we need to fund and deliver these services including a regional rail connecting Geraldton, Kalgoorlie and the south-west and a world-class National Broadband Network that allows regional communities and businesses to remain connected and globally competitive.
