The ACT Greens have big plans to grow our movement and increase our parliamentary representation at all levels of government.
And because our members are the backbone of the Greens, we can only achieve that with your support.
Our equitable membership fee structure helps secure our financial ability to run big, bold campaigns that achieve meaningful change for people and planet, while also ensuring that Greens membership remains accessible to everyone.
Membership options
Please choose the membership option that best suits your circumstances. Everyone’s membership and participation is extremely important and valuable to us – we want our membership to truly reflect the diverse make-up of our society.
Here are the options, and how they support our movement:
- First Nations ($0) / Under 18s ($5) / Concession ($20)
Accessible membership options for students, First Nations people and concession card holders, or those who can’t currently pay for our Standard membership. These options are subsidised by our Green Futures memberships, like a little bit of wealth redistribution to ensure everyone can participate equally while managing our operational costs. - Standard ($30-$150 based on income)
Your contribution enables us to subsidise Greens memberships for young people, low-income earners and others who can’t currently pay for our Standard membership. It also provides additional revenue that enables us to hire permanent campaigning and organising staff, and make bold plans for the future of our party.
How to decide
While it’s entirely up to you, we encourage you to select the membership option that best reflects your circumstances and what you can comfortably take on.
You might opt to pay less on the scale if you:
- Have caring responsibilities
- Have significant debt
- Have an unreliable income
- Have a concession or health-care card
- Are receiving income support payments
Please consider paying more if you:
- Own the home you live in
- Have investments, retirement accounts or inherited money
- Travel recreationally
- Have access to family resources in times of need
- Work part-time by choice
- Have a relatively high degree of earning power
- Benefit from structural privilege, like gender, racial or class background
By allowing your circumstances to guide you, your membership becomes a powerful way to help ensure the Tasmanian Greens have the resources to build our movement between elections. And when an election is called, you’ll be one of the reasons we can quickly roll out even more effective campaigns.
Thank you so much for your ongoing support – we couldn’t do it without you.
