Candidate for Ipswich West
I have lived in South-East Queensland all my life, the last six years in the Ipswich area. Our electorate of Ipswich West is a diverse and resilient community and I am looking forward to representing its people. The Greens offer a real alternative to the old parties because the Greens have genuine and progressive policies.
I am driven by a desire to ensure government is honest and decisions are made to benefit the community, not corporate donors or the old parties.
As the human footprint in our area grows I will seek to ensure that development is kept sustainable and our economy strong.
I care about the rising cost of living; the cost of electricity is something that affects most of us. The Greens have a plan that will reduce the cost of consumer electricity, and provide a genuine saving for consumers while producing clean energy.
Protecting our environment is something that I feel strongly about. We are all impacted by climate change in some way and I want to be part of the solution to make Ipswich West and all of Queensland cleaner, greener and more liveable.
As we move away from a lot of traditional industry and farming practices, the residents of Ipswich West can benefit from the new wave of sustainable industry jobs. Ipswich West is is perfectly placed to be a leader in sustainable industry.
I’m proud to stand as the Greens candidate for Ipswich West in the upcoming State election.
