Wendy Morgan

Candidate for Elizabeth

I’m a single mum of an adult daughter, currently on the Newstart and working part-time as a private tutor in all levels of Maths and Year 11 and 12 Chemistry and Physics.

Born in England, I came to Australia in 1967 when I was only four years of age and have lived in Adelaide ever since. I grew up in Modbury but as an adult I have moved around quite a bit and have lived in many different parts of Adelaide and have been living in Elizabeth Downs for a little over four years.

I partially completed a degree in a Bachelor of Science and hope to complete that degree at some stage in the future. I have a passion for education with a strong emphasis on environmental issues and renewable energy. I am also extremely passionate about human rights and poverty issues and have been actively campaigning against the Australian Government about their current welfare policies and the privatisation of these services as well as the utility services.

Elizabeth is an area of very high unemployment which is what inspired me to start campaigning for welfare issues and I have joined the Greens Party because their policies are congruent with all the issues that I stand for.
