Felicity Green

Candidate for Light

I am a mother of 3 wonderful adulte children and grandmother of 3 delightful grandchildren and I am fortunate that they all live in Adelaide. I have lived in Adelaide for the last 27 years, mostly in the North and North East. Currently I live in Redwood Park.

I have been a registered nurse for 40 years, and have worked in the last 27 of these as a mental health nurse, mainly in the community. For the past 7 years I have worked in my current position, in a liaison role for older people in rural and remote areas of South Australia who have mental health problems.

I have been a member of the SA Greens for 8 years, and am currently the Convener of the Makin branch. My interest in social justice and a fair go for all was the main thing which originally drew me to the Greens. I value the grassroots democracy practices by the SA Greens, which gives all members a say in Greens’ policies. We all have a responsibility to protect the environment for future generations. Privatisation of public assets has only driven up prices. The Greens believe in putting essential services back in public hands.

I'm proud to stand for The Greens in Light.
