Join Greens councillor Emma Heyde and MP Jamie Parker to hear why it's so important that the community has a say on the development at Cherrybrook metro station - and how to do that.

Cherrybrook is a beautiful place to live and work, with quiet streets, parks and bushland nearby.

But plans for the Cherrybrook station precinct are still not publicly available. Nine years on and residents live with uncertainty about what's going to be built - and how high it will be.

We've been told that apartment buildings will be six storeys. But then the story changed to 'around eight'. Consultation is finished, but there is still silence from the state government about what's being planned for the 3.5 hectares of land around the station.

This session will focus on why it's so important for the community to get organised and get vocal about its vision for the area. And we will explore different ways of doing that.

Emma Heyde, the Greens C Ward councillor elected in 2017 will will be your host for this important meeting. Emma will be joined by Council candidate and Cherrybrook resident, Tamanna Shah, known and respected across the Hills and Cherrybrook for her work in getting local bus services returned.

Greens MP Jamie Parker will be sharing his knowledge of successful resident-led campaigns, and how to get organised to have a say.

This is a Zoom meeting you won't want to mis.s. A neighbourhood as good as Cherrybrook is worth fighting for.
