Bec has been living in lutruwita / Tasmania for over 25 years. She is a parent, small business owner, project manager, social worker and avid sportsperson.
Additionally, Bec has over 20 years’ experience working in local government and non-government sectors at the local, state and national levels, including 12 years working in Community Development at the City of Hobart. Her areas of expertise are community development, community safety, mental health, policy and research, alcohol and other drugs, sport and recreation as well as children and families and multicultural communities.
Bec has been involved in sport since 1989, as an athlete, coach, administrator, and project manager. Her work in this area has been largely based on inclusion in sport and making sport more accessible for women, the LGBTQ+ community, children from low socio-economic areas and people with a disability.
A person with many passions, Bec started her nipaluna based business in 2019, born from her ideals for ethical, sustainable, and environmentally friendly living.
