Candidate for Narre Warren South in the 2014 State Election
I want to ensure our State Government is responsible, fair and accountable and implements fully costed and sensible policies that will protect our community, our environment and our future.
As a mother of four children, carer, former City of Casey councillor and community activist who’s lived in Hampton Park for 28 years, Lynette understands the challenges that we face. She wants a government that cares about our children’s and grandchildren’s futures. She believes we need more jobs, affordable education and housing, more investment in health and aged care services, public transport and a cleaner, safer environment.
Her community work has led to Lynette getting elected to serve as a City of Casey councillor for four years, actively lobbying for many issues and moving many successful initiatives on council. Some of these included the Cairns Rd Clubroom Extension, organising Casey's first Bulk Buy Solar Panel Scheme, fighting for the Hallam Rd Duplication, initiating Casey's 'Experience' Multicultural Festival, led Casey to become a Fair Trade Council and she is the Patron of the Award Winning Women's Friendship Cafe.
Lynette is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has a Graduate Diploma of Management (Swinburne University). Lynette is passionate about helping people and protecting our environment.
