HI, I'm aleisja.

I’m a proud resident of Torquay and reside within the Winchelsea Ward.

I work in the public service in a policy role working in the circular economy area. I have also worked in community engagement, human-centred design, digital transformation, renewable energy and climate action. 

I’m very passionate about our wonderful region and its rich tapestry of unique communities, each with their own inherent value that they bring to the Surf Coast Shire.

Our region experiences high-volumes of tourism visitation and sea and tree change lifestyle moves. I have noticed how this challenges our environment, our towns, regions, and residents. I’m deeply concerned about the lack of affordable housing in our community and the impact of development on farming land. 

As your councillor, I will fight to tackle the housing crisis, support our communities to continue the transition to a circular economy and work to protect and restore the environmental biodiversity of our region.
