”I’m a Thornbury local and enjoy being able to raise my young family in this vibrant and caring community. I stand to protect the liveability of Darebin and fight for much needed reforms to our planning system.”
Kim Le Cerf grew up in country Victoria before shifting to Darebin nearly a decade ago. She is a proud resident of Darebin and appreciates feeling part of a connected, caring and unique community.
Darebin City was facing the challenge of open-slather development afflicting the area. And Kim has successfully delivered a more open, consultative and democratic way to plan and develop our city. She will fight to have the voice of the community heard over the narrow interests of developers and corporations.
Kim has a decade of experience working with state and local governments to this challenge. She has worked on major environmental and climate programs and currently leads the Sustainable Council team at the City of Melbourne, delivering programs to tackle the City’s emissions.
She stands with The Greens because she shares a vision for a caring, sustainable and democratic society, where everyone’s voice is heard and government works for all people, not just for some.
