Clare Davey

”A Glen Huntly local, I am passionate about local issues and ensuring that the communities of Glen Eira flourish. I will stand for people, the environment and for decisions that have a positive impact on the lives of Glen Eira residents.”

Clare has over 10 years experience in the private, public and tertiary education sector, including the last 4.5 years in local government. Through this experience, she has developed a keen understanding of how local government functions and how to achieve practical outcomes for residents. Working within State government has given her insight into the workings of government and a sound understanding of the mechanisms that achieve outcomes.

Clare’s career as a traffic engineer and transport planner has been focused on delivering active and sustainable transport solutions for the community. With these skills, she hopes to further improve the walking and cycling networks in Glen Eira. She is also seeking to ensure that development is sensitive to the neighbourhood, done in a manner that best suits the community and their needs. She is committed to enhancing the liveability of the local community through improvements to active and sustainable transport.
