Candidate for Cottesloe
Greg Boland is The Greens (WA) Candidate in the Cottesloe By-Election
I’ve lived in Cottesloe for 26 years and have loved being an active member of our community.
I’ve served three terms as Cottesloe Councillor, and I’m currently the Deputy Chair of the Cottesloe Residents and Ratepayers Association, and I’m on the Cottesloe Coastcare Committee. As an avid beach goer, I enjoy spending time at our coastline and in our precious areas of local bushland. I’m a Legal Aid Lawyer and have a long-standing commitment to social justice and protecting our environment.
I believe Cottesloe has been taken for granted by the Liberal Party for too long, as a long-held Liberal seat, the priority has been on the rest of the State and we’ve been left behind. I’m standing because the issues important to our local community should be prioritised by the State Government.
I’ve been The Greens Candidate for Cottesloe before and I’ve been elected to Cottesloe Council. I have the skill set and the experience to do the job. Over time, I’ve spoken to thousands of residents and I know our community wants to see us protecting our precious places and green spaces, getting better public infrastructure and taking local action to address the effects of climate change.
As the member for Cottesloe, I will give full attention to the local issues. Cottesloe voters need to make their voices heard in this by-election. In a by-election, people can vote very differently to how they normally vote. This time it’s different. Vote Green
