Helen Burnet

Member for Clark

HI, I’M HELEN, the Elected Member for Clark

About Helen

Helen was elected to the Tasmanian Parliament in March 2024. She spent the previous 19 years as a Greens representative on the Hobart City Council, seven as Deputy Lord Mayor.

Helen is a registered Podiatrist, having worked predominantly in the public sector, but in 2023-24 in a private podiatry practice. She is a union member, and served as a delegate for the allied health professionals’ sub-branch.

“I am excited at the prospect of representing the people of Clark in Tasmania’s Parliament! Experience at local government across areas such as planning, transport, climate change, social justice and community provide me with many skills and a depth of understanding of our community and what matters to them that continues to grow.

Across my portfolios, electorate and beyond, I’ll use those skills and continue building on the work of the Greens for the best outcomes for Tasmania.

I look forward to working with you, for you.”
