How to report sexual harassment and sexual assault to the Greens

Every employee, member, volunteer and supporter of the Greens has a right to participate in Greens spaces and events without being subjected to any form of sexual harassment, intimidation or assault.

That’s why we have worked together at a state, territory and national level to develop resources, training and policies to make sure our party is a safe and supportive place for all of our members and volunteers.

It is the obligation and responsibility of every member of our organisation to ensure that the workplace, and our party activities, are free from sexual harassment.

We have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to sexual harassment.

If you are being harassed, feel uncomfortable or have concerns for your safety or the safety of others, please contact the National Manager or the National Co-Convenors or call the National Office on 1800 017 011.

Complaints processes

The Australian Greens takes the safety and comfort of all our office bearers, staff, members and supporters very seriously. As such, we have developed clear party-wide processes to comprehensively address all manner of complaints and find appropriate resolutions in a timely manner.

In the event that anyone has been made to feel uncomfortable or unsafe at a Greens event or work environment, the following flowcharts explain the nature of the process that will follow any complaint made.

Depending on the nature of the complaint, an informal or formal resolution process will commence.
