Hi, I'm Jackie
I'm a longtime Boroondara resident who is passionate about the local community. I volunteer for Kew East Community Recycling and am a member of Willsmere Station Community Garden.
Through my volunteering, work in the pharmaceutical industry and advocacy, I've had the opportunity to meet many across our community who are struggling with the cost of living and housing crises. We need a local government that is representative of our community’s progressive values and will take action on the issues that matter.
I will push for maintaining and increasing the tree canopy and making recycling simpler and easier for everyone in Boroondara. To address the climate crisis, we need to increase access to climate sensitive technologies for all residents, by implementing electric vehicle charging, replacing gas appliances in rentals and supporting households with transitioning to solar panels. I will also advocate for the establishment of an LGBTQIA+ advisory body and increasing accessible public transport.
Together, let’s create a sustainable and inclusive Boroondara.
