Amy Mills

Candidate for Ringwood

A smiling woman stands confidently outdoors with arms crossed. She wears a dark green ribbed top paired with a green plaid skirt. Her straight brown hair frames her face, and a lush, sunlit garden forms the background.

I’m a disability support worker, qualified dietitian and renter who brings lived experience, empathy and advocacy to everything I do. Living with autism and ADHD, and navigating the housing crisis as a renter, has shown me how policy decisions impact people’s lives.

At my core, I’m an advocate who looks out for people, our environment and fights for stronger communities. I’ve been involved in climate and animal rights activism since my early 20s, and continue to build local connections through community organising and collaboration with grassroots groups across the eastern suburbs.

In Ringwood, people are anxious about housing, cost of living, access to mental health care and the growing impacts of climate change. From bushfire risk, to the loss of tree canopy and neglected public spaces, we need policy that addresses the issues of our community. I’m running to help restore hope, push for fair rent and homelessness prevention, protect our local environment, and ensure public resources are spent where they genuinely improve wellbeing and community life.
