What a year it has been so far – and the fight isn’t over.

2020 has not been quite the year that any of us were expecting. But the need for our movement’s strong voice has never been more important.

Thank you to all the Greens members, volunteers and staff for keeping our movement strong and for keeping a keen eye on the horizon, planning and thinking how we can pull through this crisis to make our country stronger, more resilient and greener than ever.

2020 has been such a difficult year for so many people.

It has been an incredible 15 years and there is still so much to do.

On exiting politics, there is still so much to be optimistic about.

It’s been a huge year – not just because of COVID-19, but because our movement has grown and achieved so much in such a short space of time.

This past year will go down in history as extraordinary, but not for good reasons. Our work is more important than ever - it is time for solutions.

Though the year has been incredibly challenging, it has also reaffirmed the power and importance of grassroots organising and of our Green movement.

Confronted with the twin crises of a full-blown climate emergency and a global pandemic, 2020 has been a year that tested our resolve.

In the midst of the most challenging year many of us have ever had, what we do next matters. Greens are fighting in the parliament for a future where no one is left behind.

This year has seen strong collaboration as we overcame challenges together.

2020 has been a wild ride, with a global pandemic redefining the way we do pretty much everything.
