FREE DOCTOR VISITS IN THE ACT

Healthcare should be free and accessible. You should be able to see a doctor when you need to. 

But over recent years, healthcare has become more unaffordable and too many people only get free care once they are in the emergency room - rather than at their doctors office. 

Only four clinics provide free appointments for anyone with a medicare card. There are a handful of others that provide bulk-billed appointments for some patients like concession card holders, pension card holders and children.

This is not good enough. This is why the ACT Greens went to the election with a policy to provide more than 160,000 free appointments by establishing four bulk-billed GP clinics - two in the north and two in the south. 

Please call ahead to confirm if the clinic is accepting new patients and whether you are eligible for a bulk-billed appointment. If your injury is critical or life-threatening, please call 000.
