IN BRINDABeLLA

The electorate of Brindabella is centered around Tuggeranong, stretching down to the southern border of the ACT, up to Kambah and Macarthur.

Laura Nuttall MLA and Sam Nugent are your lead Greens candidates in Brindabella, standing to represent the local community and ensure all Canberrans can live a good life with great public services, affordable housing and a thriving local environment.

We’ve got big plans for Brindabella and it’s all possible, if you vote for it.

THE ACT GREENS WILL:

  • Provide free walk-in mental health support by establishing a ‘Safe Haven’ in Tuggeranong, like the one that already exists in Belconnen
  • Establish two bulk-billing GP clinics in the south of Canberra
  • Make public transport a more realistic choice by running every weekday bus every 20 minutes or less, and every 30 minutes on weekends
  • Upgrade local sports facilities with $10 million for the Kambah Ovals AFL Facility, a new roof for Ray Brown Indoor Stadium and $250,000 for a Southern Cross Stadium refurbishment
  • Create an Entertainment Precinct in the Tuggeranong Town Centre to support live music and events
  • Improve walking and riding with a new path connection between Fyshwick and Tuggeranong, and connecting the rest of Erindale Drive
  • Install electric vehicle fast chargers in Tuggeranong Town Centre
  • Transition away from wood heaters to significantly improve air quality in the Tuggeranong Valley
  • Improve the health of the local environment by reconnecting Tuggeranong Creek at Tuggeranong Homestead in Richardson
  • Protect agricultural land from bulldozing for new suburbs by supporting quality development in existing residential areas
  • Revitalise Lanyon Homestead as a new farm enterprise incubator and set up at least one new large community garden for South Tuggeranong

ALL OF THIS IS POSSIBLE, you just have to vote for it.
