In Yerrabi
The electorate of Yerrabi is centered around Gungahlin, stretching from the northern border of the ACT, down to up to Giralang, Kaleen, Mitchell and Kenny.
Andrew Braddock MLA and Soëlily Consen-Lynch are your lead Greens candidates in Yerrabi, standing to represent the local community and ensure all Canberrans can live a good life with great public services, affordable housing and a thriving local environment.
We’ve got big plans for Yerrabi and it’s all possible, if you vote for it.
THE ACT GREENS WILL:
- Provide free walk-in mental health support by establishing a new ‘Safe Haven’ in Gungahlin
- Establish bulk-billing GP clinics, including two in Canberra’s north
- Support local sports with $30 million for a Gungahlin Multi-sport Facility, and further funding for upgrades to Amaroo Reserve and Taylor Playing Fields
- Complete the Entertainment Precinct in Gungahlin to support live music and events
- Increase frequency along the light rail line to meet demand
- Make public transport a more realistic choice for more people by running every weekday bus every 20 minutes or less, and every 30 minutes on weekends
- Deliver major improvements to the way we get around Gungahlin with new and better cycling and walking paths, especially within the Town Centre, accessing the Town Centre and linking the Town Centre with Yerrabi Pond
- Create a catchment plan for Yerrabi Pond to set out a clear pathway to improving the health of the ecosystem
- Install electric vehicle fast-chargers in Gungahlin Town Centre
- Grow a large new community garden
- Complete currently planned developments then limit the establishment of new suburbs to protect the local environment in Canberra’s north
- Support research and innovation at Mulligans Flat
