Councillor Aia Newport is serving their first term on the Alice Springs Town Council in Mparntwe.
Aia has spent the past decade developing skills in community development, youth work, and event management. Aia advocates for action on climate change, government accountability, queer rights and First Nations justice. Their focus is to future-proof the town for everyone to enjoy for generations to come. Aia leads with compassion, creativity, and a strong commitment to all the people of Alice Springs.
