Our Bass Candidates

BASS

Vote [ 1 ] CECILY ROSOL, YOUR GREENS MP FOR BASS

Cecily Rosol for Bass

Hi, I'm Cecily! I’m your Greens Member for Bass, and proud to be running again in this state election.

I’m a registered nurse who has worked in hospitals interstate and overseas, and in Launceston. I later studied counselling and worked as a school chaplain and counsellor in disadvantaged communities for close to a decade. I’ve also been a foster carer for over ten years.

Through my work, I’ve seen first-hand the impact of poor public policy on people’s lives, and I understand that social justice breaks down disadvantage and inequality. I’m a passionate advocate for better health and mental health care, and for the safety of children.

I’m committed to climate action and environmental protection. The No Pulp Mill campaign in the Tamar Valley was what led me to become more politically active, when I saw a direct threat to nature and to democracy.

I was elected to the Tasmanian Parliament in March 2024, and I’m committed to working for the good of Lutruwita / Tasmania and its people – and investing in health and community services instead of a billion-dollar stadium.

This election, we can stop the stadium, invest in health and housing, and protect our environment.

All this is possible. Vote Greens.

[ 2 ] Charlene McLennan

Hi, I’m Charlene – a lawyer and advocate from Trevallyn.

I’ve spent my career standing up for justice and helping people navigate complex legal systems — work that has shown me just how broken many of those systems are.

[ 3 ] Jack Fittler

Hi, I'm Jack - a political staffer, campaigner and proud Launnie local.

I live in South Launceston with my partner and three young kids, and work in the office of Senator Peter Whish-Wilson.

I believe in a future where people and planet are prioritised by our government, not corporate profits.

[ 4 ] Lauren Ball

Hi, I'm Lauren – a student at the University of Tasmania.

I'm proud to be an active campaigner and part of a movement that centres inclusion, equality and care for people and planet.

As a young person, I’m deeply concerned about the future. We need urgent climate action and a better housing system.

[ 5 ] THOMAS Hall

Hi, I'm Tom – a Launceston-based anaesthetist.

Working in hospitals has given me a front-row seat to the pressures facing our health system.

It’s time to put community needs first and invest in healthcare that actually works for people.

[ 6 ] Anne Layton-Bennett

Hi, I'm Anne – a freelance writer, environmentalist and long-time Swan Bay local.

I became politically active during the pulp mill campaign and have been advocating for climate justice ever since.

I’m standing because the Greens are the only party truly fighting to protect what makes Tasmania special.

[ 7 ] Eric March

Hi, I'm Eric – a dentist and community volunteer from Trevallyn.

I’m proud to be part of a campaign focused on people and the planet.

We need leadership that tackles our biggest challenges head-on — from health to housing to climate.
