Our Franklin Candidates

FRANKLIN

Vote [ 1 ] ROSALIE WOODRUFF, YOUR GREENS MP FOR FRANKLIN

Rosalie Woodruff for Franklin

Hi, I’m Rosalie Woodruff – your Greens Member for Franklin and proud to be running again in this state election.

I’m an epidemiologist who, before entering Parliament, researched the impacts of climate change on health. I’ve worked for the World Health Organisation (WHO), and contributed research to the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

I’ve also worked in preventive health organisations, championing the health needs of women and the LGBTIQ+ community.

After living in the ACT, I moved to Lutruwita / Tasmania in 2007 with my partner Paul to raise our two children, and became an active Huon Valley community member.

I served as a Greens councillor on the Huon Valley Council for six years and set up its Arts and Heritage Committee. I was a founding member of Neighbours of Fish Farms, established to fight against the impacts of salmon farming in the D’Entrecasteaux Channel.

I was elected to the seat of Franklin in the Tasmanian House of Assembly in August 2015, following the resignation of long-serving Greens MP and former Leader Nick McKim.

I’m a passionate advocate for climate action, preserving wild places, connected communities, and protecting the right of people to be involved in decision-making about the future of our island.

This election, we can stop the stadium, invest in health and housing, and protect our environment.

All this is possible. Vote Greens.
