Senator's Wrap
Inaugural SpeechIt was with great humility and some nerves that I addressed the Senate for the first time, back on September 9. I talked about the wonderful state of Tasmania, my priorities and goals as well as my own personal life journey. Watch the video below or read the whole speech here.

Ride2Work DayIt was fantastic to take part in Ride2Work Day on October 16. I was in Canberra and without my own wheels, so I sent word out on Facebook asking for assistance. Sure enough, ex-Tasmanian Lauretta and her room-mate Nick came to my aid and I was able to cycle into Parliament. It's a fantastic initiative, and as the weather gets warmer, there's no better time to dust off your own wheels and get back out there.
Capital HillIt's been an incredibly busy time in Parliament, before and after the dramatic removal of Tony Abbott! Here you'll find my contribution to the debates about the latest tranche of counter-terrorism laws, as well as my invitation to the Tourism Minister to come with me on a visit to the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area.

Schools for GonskiIt was fantastic to visit Kingston High School this week to discuss the importance of the Gonski funding. Our schools deserve fair funding, regardless of whether they are public, private, wealthy or otherwise. In my role as Australian Greens schools spokesperson, I will continue to advocate for the full implementation of the Gonski reforms.
