Paul O’Halloran was elected to the Tasmanian House of Assembly in 2010, representing the division of Braddon.
He grew up on a dairy farm on the north west coast of Tasmania. He started out as a Labor supporter, but his activism in the Franklin Dam dispute led him to join the Greens.
Prior to politics, Paul was a schoolteacher and administrator. Later, he was a scientist at the University of Tasmania, where he managed a university agricultural industry project aimed at linking educator providers with industry.
He was not re-elected at the 2014 House of Assembly elections.
