UPDATE:

After an outcry from communities, activists and people like you from across NSW, Premier Dominic Perrottet completely backtracked from a Wednesday statement and committed to support a ban on harmful conversion practices.

Now we need to make sure a ban actually happens.

NSW is one of the only remaining States and Territories that has not banned harmful conversion practices.  

Yet the NSW Liberal Premier Dominic Perrottet, is refusing to commit to stamping out dangerous conversion ‘therapy’. 

Conversion ‘therapy’ is pseudoscience based on the bigoted ideology that people from the LGBTQIA+ communities are ‘broken’ or ‘disordered’ and has lasting, negative impacts on people’s lives - this is especially the case for people of faith. 

For years, The Greens have been calling on laws to ban conversion therapy and protection for survivors not just in NSW but across Australia.

Will you sign the petition to ensure these practices aren’t just pushed further underground but done away with altogether?
