Introduction to Campaign Organising Program

Closing Date

Friday 02 August 2024 - 11:59 pm

The Introduction to Organising is a short leadership development program for community-active individuals aiming to lead and win issue-based and electoral campaigns, and increase their knowledge on how to do this with racial and social justice at its centre.
It focuses on building knowledge, relationships, skills, and confidence. The program brings together young people across Northern Sydney to:
  • Connect with like-minded individuals to foster solidarity among groups facing injustice.
  • Learn about how to centre racial and social justice, through amplifying the voices of marginalised communities and working with diverse groups.
  • Learn about activism, organising, political participation, and creating lasting change.
  • Create change within local communities through collective tactical actions

The Greens will support individuals from Northern Sydney, until with workshops, tailored support, space for building connections and resources to create collective change in their community.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn from campaigners and organisers, connect with like-minded community members, and get to know some of your Greens MPs.

This program is open to members and supporters of the Greens, who are under the age of 31, and are based in Northern Sydney.

The program will require the following time commitment:

  • Sunday 11 August, 9:00am - 4:00pm: Introduction to Organising (Narrabeen)
  • Tuesday 20 August, 5:30pm - 8:00pm: Persuasive Conversations Part 1 (Online)
