To the NSW Premier: Allow pill testing for World Pride so everyone can party safely.

Another tragic death has occurred at a Sydney music festival that may have been prevented if pill testing had been allowed. With more music festivals and World Pride just around the corner, we need action now.

In 2019, one of the key recommendations from the Coronial Inquest into Deaths at NSW Music Festivals was for the NSW Government to provide pill testing services at music festivals and in the community.

That was more than three years ago. Pill testing is currently available in more than 20 countries and after two trials at festivals, the ACT Greens-Labor Government has established the first pill testing centre in Australia. It’s time for NSW to follow suit.
