After a decade of the Liberals in government, Tassie’s in a bit of a mess. There’s not enough affordable housing, people can’t get an ambulance when they need one, and despite the climate crisis native forests are still being logged and burned.
Instead of tackling the health and housing crisis, Labor and Liberal are backing a billion dollar stadium we don’t need. We don’t need a new stadium. We need more affordable homes, a rent freeze and health funding.
If they were listening to what people need, the government would be getting people out of ambulances and into hospital beds, and they’d be helping more people find an affordable place to live.
Labor and Liberal have the wrong priorities.
Something has to change. This election is an exciting opportunity to finally turn things around. To make that happen we need a new government, with the Greens in balance of power.
The Greens will:
- Build public and affordable homes and control rising rents
- Tackle the health crisis and get people out of ambulances and into hospital beds
- Protect our unique environment and end native forest logging once and for all.
