Something is very wrong when people protesting genocide are more likely to be arrested than someone accused of inciting it.
Jacinta Allan’s Labor government is rolling out the red carpet for the President of Israel Isaac Herzog who the United Nations Commission of Inquiry found to have incited genocide.
This is someone who had their picture taken signing artillery shells bound to be dropped on Palestinian homes and falsely claimed that images of starving people in Gaza were “staged”.
On Monday, thousands across the country hit the streets to say loud and clear that Herzog is not welcome here.
Herzog is set to arrive in Melbourne on Thursday. Now, Premier Jacinta Allan has a choice: to continue to stoke the fires of division and lend international legitimacy for Israel’s horrific war crimes or cancel Herzog’s visit.
