A massive gas-fired power plant has been proposed for the Southern Highlands Innovation Park, right between Moss Vale, Burradoo and New Berrima.
At 673 megawatts, it would be the second largest in NSW. And it’s being built to run a private data centre: there will be no power provided for our community.
That means:
-
No community benefit: the power can’t be used for local homes
-
A threat to health: pumping harmful pollution into our air
-
The wrong kind of development: locking Moss Vale into heavy industry
-
A climate bomb: ensuring decades’ more burning of fossil fuels.
This project will shape the future of the Highlands for decades, and once it’s built, we can’t undo it.
Sign now to tell the State Government that the Highlands wants renewable power and innovative industry, not fossil fuels!
