The Greens believe that voters have a right to see who is funding parties and candidates before they vote on election day. So we are publishing our donations as we receive them.
The Greens NSW have committed to continuous disclosure of the donations we receive during the 2010 election campaign period.
Every party is required to report any donations recieved over $10,700 to the Australian Electoral Commission. These donations are not made public until 1st February 2011, long after the 2010 federal election is held. This is not transparent.
The Greens have undertaken to report any donations we receive over $1,000, prior to the election, as we beleive this is a fairer donations disclosure threshold.
