THE GREENS NSW BOOKKEEPER VOLUNTEER

The Greens NSW Bookkeeper Volunteer is a short-term position for individuals interested in supporting the finance and compliance operations of the NSW Greens during the last few weeks leading up to the Federal Election 2025.  

Participants will assist with essential tasks that ensure the smooth functioning of our party across the state. Responsibilities include following up on incomplete information for invoicing, processing transactions and allocation of expenses, however, depending on the experience of the volunteer, further task could be assigned. 

OBJECTIVES: 

  • Support: Assist the Greens NSW Finance and Compliance Team with bookkeeping during the Federal Election Campaign. 
  • Upskill: Offer training in key Greens NSW finance and compliance systems and electoral compliance processes. 
  • Engage: Connect volunteers with opportunities to participate in Green politics and broader party activities. 

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR: 

  • 2x volunteers to share responsibilities and time commitments 
  • A passionate third-year finance/commerce student or about to complete a Certificate IV of bookkeeping.  
  • Or, an experienced bookkeeper with extra time and a desire to contribute to the Greens movement

This program is open to members and supporters of the Greens.  

AVAILABILITY 

The program will require the following time commitment: 

  • A 20-minute interview if your application progresses. 
  • Starting - date TBC (depending on when Federal Elections are called). 
  • Available three days per week online and in person, 9.30 am – 4.30 pm (flexibility is built into this position so please still apply even if you can’t commit to every day).  
  • Must be available to attend the Greens NSW office in Camperdown at least once a week on Tuesdays.
