Tamara Smith MP, Member for Ballina congratulates the 2020 NSW Volunteer Grant recipients in the Ballina electorate.
Ms Smith said, “Funding under this program for volunteer organisations in our community is particularly important as it is supporting the transition of their volunteer programs back into operation following the disruption caused by COVID-19”
“This is fantastic news for volunteers and volunteer-run organisations. Volunteers are vital to building resilient communities. These small grants will support volunteer re-engagement and help organisations adapt their practices to support volunteers’ safety, as the economy reopens.
“I congratulate all of the organisations that were successful in their application and look forward to seeing the positive outcomes that come from supporting our volunteers.” Ms Smith said.
The 2020 Supplementary Volunteer Grants are funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services and delivered through the Centre for Volunteering
